Mark P. Frissora is the Chief Executive Officer and President of Caesars Entertainment. Mr. Frissora has 40 years of business experience spanning all levels of management and functional roles. He joined Caesars in 2015 and previously served from 2000-2014 as Chairman and CEO of two Fortune 500 companies, The Hertz Corporation and Tenneco, Inc. Mark Frissora has a track record of consistently generating shareholder value for highly leveraged companies with consumer brands, and has a passion for harnessing technology, innovation and loyalty programs to grow top line revenues. At Caesars, he has been driving performance by further strengthening a culture focused on customer-centricity, diversity and employee engagement.
During 2015-2016, Caesars, enterprise-wide, has increased adjusted EBITDA by over $740 million and has expanded its adjusted EBITDA margin 779 bps. Other notable achievements include becoming the #3 live entertainment promoter worldwide, along with having the #1 theater venue (The Colosseum, Caesars Palace) under 5,000 seats. The company has also generated a double-digit compounded annual growth rate of Las Vegas Average Daily (hotel room) rates, and a 200 bps improved net revenue market share on the Las Vegas Strip during this period.
Caesars has received over 400 hospitality and entertainment awards in Las Vegas alone over the past two years, including the #1 Buffet, for Bacchanal at Caesar Palace, by USA Today, and Trip Advisor’s Hotel Certificate of Excellence for Caesars Palace, Nobu Hotel, Paris Las Vegas and The Cromwell. With respect to its citizenship work over the past two years, the company has won more than 30 awards for its corporate social responsibility initiatives. These include Triple A scores from the Carbon Disclosure Project for its work in carbon, water and supplier engagement, and a perfect score for the tenth consecutive year on the Human Rights Campaign for Corporate Equality Index.
Mr. Frissora served at Hertz from 2006-2014 where he was named one of Business Travel News’ Most Influential Business Travel Executives in 2012. By September 2014, the company had realized a 3.5 times return on its shares since going public in 2006. Additionally, Hertz consolidated the U.S. car rental market with the acquisition of Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group in 2012, expanded into fleet leasing with the acquisition of Donlen Corporation in 2011, and doubled its U.S. off-airport rental locations, increasing car rental revenues 37% by 2013. At Tenneco, revenues rose 39% and shareholder value tripled during his tenure from 2000-2006. Previously, Frissora worked in various management positions at General Electric, Phillips Lighting Company and Aeroquip-Vickers.
Mark Frissora serves on the Board of Directors of Caesars Entertainment Corporation and Delphi Automotive Holdings. He previously served on the Boards of Walgreens Boots Alliance, FMC Corporation and NCR Corporation, in addition to Hertz and Tenneco.
He has been a member of The Business Roundtable, McKinsey’s CEO Advisory Council and the G100, and is currently a member of the American Gaming Association. Frissora is actively involved in philanthropic activities and in 2012 he was awarded the Oliver R. Grace Award for Distinguished Service in Advancing Cancer Research.
Mr. Frissora holds a B.A. degree from The Ohio State University and has completed executive development programs at Babson College and the Thunderbird International School of Management.
